Del.icio.us Account Comments

Very interesting experience. Very easy to create an account but the challenge was finding a username that no one else has used already! Wanted to use the same as my blog for ease of use but was already taken! The actual creation of the account took less than a minute! I love to travel so I chose CondeNast magazine as my first bookmarked site and travel as the tag. How interesting to discover that 169 others had already bookmarked that too! What I like about this account is the option of saving my favourites on the web and not taking up space on my computer. I like the organizing method of tags to keep my numerous sites which I have bookmarked organized and easy to retrieve. I save alot of sites so this tagging will help me alot. Tags will also help when I am looking for something specific saved by someone else. Also like the quick access to my favourites using the buttons feature. I think I will use this!

2008 TLA Book Cart Drill Team

I have chosen this You Tube video and hope that you might find it funny too!  I am a teacher-librarian when I am not golfing, playing tennis or going to the beach.  I think we TL's are people who love to have a good time but I have never heard of Book Cart Drill Teams until tonight!  It is rather hilarious and I will be watching the next time I go into Burlington Public Library to see if Betty and the librarians are preparing for the competition next year at ALA!  Watch out as the TL's out there might be fierce competition!  OK!! Back to Betty's questions.  I enjoyed looking at several You Tube videos.  You could get lost in there! While some were simply for enjoyment and entertainment, others like the one I found on "Copyright" would be a great teaching tool for next year especially with older students where this is becoming a very big issue.  I am wondering about that copyright thing...hmm...how does that work with You Tube and simply uploading videos to blogs?   Interesting!  Also You Tube is like many websites as you are not always quite sure what you might get when you click.  I wonder about that and younger students??  I think it's popular because it provides something for everyone, is easily accessible, can be informative or just plain entertaining.

Hello everyone!  Betty Blogger sounded like a little fun learning this summer!   I have enjoyed reading other people's blogs, wikis etc. for professional and personal interest during this past year but never have tried it myself so... alas BPL to my rescue!  Looking forward to this opportunity.
